For every garment purchased, we donate a portion of the sale
More than 1.2 billion people do not have access to electricity. Educating middle-aged women in impoverished villages can play a major role in rural development through solar electrification. Temple Flower works with experienced non-profit partners to ensure that the sale of each garment will help bring education initiatives to historically marginalized communities.
MORE THAN ONE BILLION PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD ARE STUCK IN THE DARK
That means 17% of the world does not have access to electricity and modern cooking solutions.
EDUCATE GRANDMOTHERS TO HARNESS THE SUN'S ENERGY
Middle-aged women have strong roots in villages and play a major role in rural development rather than migrating to neighboring cities after training.
SOLAR ELECTRIFICATION BRINGS RENEWED HOPE AND INSPIRATION TO VILLAGES
Women are able to expand income-generating activities into the night. Children have the opportunity to study after dark. By shopping consciously, you have the opportunity to help light up a life.
We work with partners that emphasize education and empowerment of women and children.

Temple Flower provides funding to non-profit partners like Barefoot College.
Temple Flower's non-profit partners provide six months of training to impoverished and illiterate Grandmothers from around the world to acquire solar engineering skills that can be of service to their community.
After returning from Tilonia, Rajasthan (India), the Grandmothers install, repair, and maintain solar lighting units in their local villages bringing with them renewed hope and inspiration.
Children restricted by daytime family chores can study at night. Rural communities have access to fresh drinking water through solar powered desalination. In return for their installation, maintenance and repair services, the women engineers receive a monthly salary from their village elders.
Barefoot College works with marginalized, exploited, and impoverished rural poor living on less than $1 a day. They lift these communities over the poverty line with dignity and self-respect. To donate to the Barefoot College, please VISIT THEIR WEBSITE
